Team measures and individual records may use different units and serve different purposes. Establish the question before placing them side by side.
What to observe
Establish whether the entry records an individual action, team performance while a player is on court, or the whole team’s output. These levels can be related without being interchangeable. A team-level change does not establish who caused it.
How to read the sequence
Add teammates, opponents and role context when discussing an individual contribution. Similar records can emerge from different responsibilities and environments. Matching a convenient team number to a player ignores other conditions changing at the same time.
Limits and checks
State the scope and the question the evidence can answer. Team data can suggest what to examine in individual footage, and a clip can illustrate a process. Neither step turns an association into a demonstrated causal claim.
